Role Purpose
ROLE PURPOSE
Manage and supervise the Unit to ensure comprehensive gathering of business and functional requirements for the development / enhancement of the Cash Balance of Payments (BOP) related statistical systems, produce analysis based on data trends / patterns and ensure Cash BOP statistics submitted by the reporting entities are timely, complete and accurate and processed promptly for surveillance, compliance analysis, and policy formulation, in accordance with statutory and stakeholder requirements and international, national and bank-wide compilation standards and methodologies.
Principal Accountabilities
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assume the role of technical expert in Cash BOP reporting requirements, compilation methodologies and operating procedures for the unit.
- Monitor and manage the operations of the Unit to ensure timely and accurate submission of data by reporting entities; systematic data quality check; and disseminate credible and coherent data to users is in accordance with international, national and bank-wide statistical standards and compliance requirements (EDG, ISMP etc.).
- Resolve problems / weaknesses in data management operations including system related matters, recommendations and implementation of solutions to improve process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Review policy documents, data quality framework and operational procedures to document the latest reporting requirements and data management operations.
- Keep abreast with the latest developments on international and national statistical standard and significant developments affecting best practices in data compilation.
Statistical Insights
Statistical Insights :
Provide advisory or analytical support, value add to line departments in surveillance / making policy recommendation / decision arising from or impacting Cash BOP reporting, including new / changes of reporting.Provide guidance and direction on analysis of at individual entity, sector / industry, domestic and global settings to identify data patterns and significant developments affecting stakeholders, within subject area - the outcome will be incorporated as part of existing report or specific white papers.Provide expertise in generating meaningful data insights, including collaboration with line departments for presentation to senior management and policy platforms, through statistical methodologies and analytics, and visualisation.Statistical Imputation & Forecasting
Statistical Imputation & Forecasting :
Identify and drive statistical analysis / research on relevant publication with the application of relevant statistical methodology to improve data comprehensiveness and quality.Statistical Communication
Statistical Communication :
Plan and strategize effective statistical communication in conveying statistical information and insights to a wide range of audiences.Monitor progress and timeline to ensure delivery of comprehensive business and functional requirements for the development / enhancement of the Cash BOP statistical systems.Comprehensive system testing covering all business and functional requirements are properly incorporated and that the system is able to meet user requirements in an efficient manner.Provide coaching and feedback to staff and identify training opportunities to help them develop their potential and further enhance their productivity. Plan and allocate appropriate resources based on the work volume to ensure fair distribution of work amongst officers in the Unit.

Academic Qualifications
Academic Qualifications :
Degree in Computer Science / IT, Enterprise Management System, Information Systems, Human Resources, or any related field.Experience
Experience :
3-5 years of experience in HRIS system support (Oracle Cloud HCM)Experience in system implementation, configuration and user support.Familiarity with HR processes within the financial industry is an advantage.Experience working with HR or Payroll systems#J-18808-Ljbffr
