Overview
Purchasing and materials management professional responsible for sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating cost-effective contracts. Manages inventory inspections, reordering, supplier databases, and coordination with finance and warehouse teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
- Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary.
- Conducting market research to stay abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities.
- Examining and reviewing products and supplies to ensure quality.
- Tracking incoming inventory, delivery arrival times, and noting actual arrival times.
- Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately.
- Organizing and updating database of suppliers, delivery times, invoices, and quantities of supplies.
- Collaborating with financial team members on contracts, invoicing, and other financial matters.
- Preparing reports on purchases, including cost analyses to share with the management team.
- Coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma or Degree in Customer Service Management / Business Studies / Administration / Management or equivalent.Strong ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Company
