Role Overview
This role supports the Project Planning team in coordinating with local authorities, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely approvals, compliance with regulations, and smooth project execution for developments in the Southern & East regions. The position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can manage submissions, track approvals, and liaise with relevant agencies to keep projects on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
1) Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project planning schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate with consultants (architects, engineers, planners) to prepare and submit plans to local authorities.
- Track progress of submissions and approvals to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and approvals from relevant government departments and statutory bodies.
2) Authority Liaison
Maintain good working relationships with local councils, technical agencies, utility providers, and state / federal authorities.Follow up on application status and expedite approvals where possible.Stay updated on changes in regulations, guidelines, and policies affecting property development projects.3) Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of all submissions, correspondences, approvals, and conditions.Prepare regular status reports for management on project approvals and compliance matters.Support in resolving issues raised by authorities during the submission and approval process.4) Compliance & Quality
Ensure all project plans comply with statutory requirements, building codes, environmental regulations, and company standards.Assist in addressing conditions of approval and ensuring compliance before project commencement.Qualifications & Skills
1) Education :
Degree / Diploma in Urban & Regional Planning, Building / Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fields.2) Experience :
1–3 years of experience in property development, project planning, or authority liaison.Fresh graduates with strong internship experience will also be considered.3) Technical & Soft Skills :
Familiarity with Malaysian planning regulations, local authority processes, and submission requirements.Strong coordination and communication skills with multiple stakeholders.Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple submissions simultaneously.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of project scheduling tools (MS Project) is an added advantage.Ability to work independently, travel within the Southern & East regions as required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
