The Assistant Finance Manager supports the head of Finance to oversee the financial operations of the company, ensure accurate financial reporting, manage day-to-day accounting functions, and support strategic financial planning and compliance with statutory regulations. It also involves guiding junior finance staff and contributing to finance process improvements and system enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining the full set of accounts, including general ledger, journal entries, and monthly reconciliations.
- Supervise all aspects of the Accounts department and oversee the work of the accounts staff.
- Monitor and manage daily cash flow and liquidity planning.
- Possess good knowledge of E-invoicing, SST and relevant government rules.
- Knowledge of import and export shipment procedures and requirements.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, taxation and financial models.
- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents, collaborating with auditors and tax agents for annual audits and tax filings.
- Ensure all financial records are properly documented, filed, and updated for easy access and reference.
- Constant review of inventory variances and highlighting items to Head of Finance for items exceeding tolerance or exceptional items.
- Work closely with operation teams to obtain and clarify information required for month end close.
- Ad-hoc assignments and projects as assigned by the Head of Finance.
Job Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, LCCI, Finance / Accountancy, CAT, ACCA or equivalent.Minimum 4 years of experience in financial management.Experience in Manufacturing or plant operations will be an added advantage.Familiar with computerized accounting system, preferably AutoCount.Proficiency in English and Malay. Mandarin and Cantonese will be advantageous.Well organized, detail- and result oriented, with strong prioritization and time management skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
