Role Overview
Nelson Miller Group is seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented logistics professional to join our SE Asia team, to manage end-to-end logistics operations, including customs compliance and coordination with suppliers across Asia. The HS Code & Logistics Executive role requires strong leadership, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations with commitment and integrity.
The HS Code & Logistics Executive role is an on-site position located in Nelson Miller Group's Malaysia office. This role requires the candidate to be located in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Tasks :
- Build order lists upon receiving new orders
- Coordinate with suppliers to confirm shipping dates and update records in Epicor system
- Communicate with suppliers to expedite shipping dates when requested by Sales
- Notify Quality Control (QC) team when shipments are ready for inspection
- Coordinate drop shipments : prepare invoices, packing lists, and bookings; liaise with customer-designated forwarders
- Request and organize shipping documents from Eber
- Recommend appropriate shipping methods once goods are ready
- Arrange shipment pickups via UPS or assigned forwarders
- Update tracking numbers in Epicor once cargo has shipped
- Handle customs clearance processes, including duties, VAT, and related documentation.
Weekly Tasks :
Share weekly shipment updates with internal teamsCalculate and report supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD) performanceSubmit weekly shipment and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reports to the supervisor.Requirements & Qualifications
Degree in logistics and related field.Proficient in Microsoft Excel; strong mathematical skills and high attention to detail.Strong knowledge of HS Code classification (US, China, Southeast Asia)Experienced in customs trade compliance, COO and Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) licensingFamiliar with logistics and warehouse operations, inbound / outbound logistics, and 3PL coordinationAbility to ensure compliance with trade regulations across the APAC regionProven leadership skills and ability to collaborate with suppliers across AsiaProficient in English, Chinese, and MalayWilling to work overtime, including late hours and weekends when requiredStart Work :
