Overview
Field Service Engineer (based in KL / Selangor)
As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software, and consumables is key. Applying your interpersonal skills, creativity and can-do attitude is critical. The ability to help solve customer problems and a dedication to delivering the highest levels of customer service are key to building customer success.
Responsibilities
- Installs and optimizes hardware / software / network products and configurations at customer sites for Chromatography Systems.
- Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
- Performs maintenance and repairs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
- Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers\' business.
- Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.
- May train other field engineers and customers on the solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in a Science field (e.g., Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or similar), or relevant work experience.0-2+ years of experience in a similar position or as an end-user.Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving.Experience with chromatography systems such as LC, LC-MS, GC, and GC-MS, either as an end-user or in field service, is required.Experience with UV-Vis and FTIR is a plus.Experience with Agilent solutions is desired but not essential.Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication skills.Must enjoy visiting customers, and that may have occasional overnight stays if needed.Travel requirement : Must be available for up to 80% which includes overnight travel, and may not be limited to travel within the territory to support clients.Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.Additional Details
