Project Manager at OPerA Studio Architecture

OPerA Studio is a full‑service architecture and design firm based in Brooklyn, New York, with a satellite office in KL, Malaysia. We are seeking an Architectural Designer to join our team in Malaysia from January 2026.

Experience requirements

  • Part 2 degree in Architecture (or equivalent) with more than 1 year of full‑time experience
  • Part 1 degree in Architecture (or equivalent) with more than 3 years of full‑time experience

Responsibilities

  • Work on all phases of projects from concept to construction administration, including residential, commercial, hospitality and interior design projects located in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
  • Prepare technically competent design drawings and reference building codes, zoning and material systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver high‑quality designs and support project delivery.

    • Qualifications

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Self‑initiative to kick‑start projects and tasks.
  • Ability to learn and grow with minimal guidance.
  • Design sensibility within complex zoning and building codes.
  • High degree of coordination skills with multiple tasks.
  • Interest in working with foreign projects.
  • Creativity to imagine spaces quickly and convey ideas with team members and clients.

    • Salary & Benefits

    Salary RM 3,500–6,000 per month, commensurate with experience. Holiday, sick leave, flexible vacation time. Semi‑remote working arrangement – 2‑3 days in‑person, remainder remote.
