Accountant / Accounts Manager

Job Descriptions :

Responsible for timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing and preparation of monthly accounts & financial reports in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with statutory requirements.

Responsible for the full spectrum of accounting and financing functions of the assigned entity.

Coordinate and liaise with external parties where required.

Month reporting is a basic requirement.

Responsible for project implementations and system upgrades to comply with new operational or legal requirements.

Take charge for tax planning and to ensure a timely and effective level of tax compliance in accordance with relevant legislation. Handle tax matters, which would include the timely SST filing as well as corporate tax.

Assist in enhancement of the financial and management reporting system, internal control, policies and procedures.

Take charge in some administration and handle some staff matters.

Other tasks assigned by direct supervisor.

Job Requirements :

a. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a professional qualification.

b. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience.

c. Full set accounts and finance operation experience is required, independently with minimal supervision.

d. Essential to be Bilingual in English with Mandarin (including reading and writing), as required for handling other Mandarin stakeholders.

e. Require travelling between Malacca BU and KL office on a timely basis.

f. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.

g. High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality, meticulous, team player, quick to adapt and able to multitask.

h. Possess knowledge and be well versed in MS Office. Well versed with SQL.

i. Experience in the manufacturing environment.

j. Experience in systems migration exercises is an added advantage.
