About the role
As the Manager, Medical Affairs , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing Medical Staff Affairs and act as the bridge between Hospital Management and the Medical & Dental Advisory Committee. This role ensures effective clinical governance, medical specialist credentialing, and smooth coordination of hospital committees, while supporting quality and patient safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings for Clinical Heads, MDAC, subcommittees, and hospital committees.
- Perform secretariat duties : organizing, minutes taking, and following up on action items.
- Manage credentialing, privileging, recruitment, contracts, and performance reviews of medical specialists.
- Ensure validity of APC, NSR registration, indemnity, and certifications at all times.
- Coordinate on-call rosters for adequate specialist coverage.
- Support hospital license renewal and maintain confidentiality of specialist records.
- Manage CME lectures, orientations, and training for medical specialists.
- Support information flow between hospital and corporate office.
- Prepare reports and data for clinical subcommittees.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety programs.
- Perform additional duties as required by the superior.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Science, or related field.Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in healthcare, preferably with clinical experience (nursing or allied health background) .Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, visual).Strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Confident working with medical specialists, management, and committees at all levels.Unlock job insights
