Lead Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to support a major offshore energy project.

This is a short-term role requiring strong technical leadership in offshore structural design, analysis, and coordination during engineering and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and coordinate structural engineering activities for offshore topsides, jackets, and subsea structures.
• Review and approve structural design calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Provide technical input across FEED, detailed design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and offshore hook-up phases.
• Ensure compliance with international design codes (API RP2A, AISC, ISO, DNV, etc.) and project specifications.
• Act as focal point for structural engineering queries and technical clarifications with vendors and EPC contractors.
• Support fabrication, load-out, transportation, and offshore installation reviews.
• Collaborate with process, mechanical, piping, and other disciplines to resolve multi-disciplinary interface issues.
Requirements :
• Education :

Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.

• Experience :

Minimum 12–15 years' experience in structural engineering for offshore oil & gas projects.

• Background :

Proven track record in lead or senior roles on offshore fixed platforms (jackets, topsides) and / or floating structures.

• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (API RP2A, AISC, ISO, DNV, etc.).
• Experience with structural analysis software (e.g., SACS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, etc.).
• Familiarity with fabrication and offshore installation methods.
• Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to mobilise on short notice for international assignment.
