Role and Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and maintain SMT machines (e.g., pick-and-place, reflow ovens, screen printers, AOI / SPI systems).
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime through preventive maintenance.
- Review and interpret Gerber files to validate PCB design compatibility with SMT processes.
- Collaborate with vendors for upgrades, spare parts, and technical support.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by validating SMT processes for new designs.
- Conduct DFM / DFA reviews to ensure manufacturability and assembly efficiency.
- Analyze product defects and drive root cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
- Develop and refine SMT process parameters to improve yield and throughput.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve quality.
- Monitor process capability (CPK / PPK) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment settings, process flows, and product configurations.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and internal quality standards.
- Generate technical reports and support audits and customer reviews.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.3–6 years of experience in SMT manufacturing or product engineering.Familiarity with SMT equipment (e.g., Fuji, Yamaha, ASM) and inspection systems (AOI, SPI, X-ray).Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactiveGood interpersonal skills, and a team player.Strong understanding of PCB design and SMT assembly processes.Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (SPC, DOE, FMEA, Minitab, JMP).Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Experience with ERP and MES systems is a plus.Hands-on experience with SMT equipment and inspection tools.Excellent project management skills.
