Responsibilities :

• Facility Management : Manage all aspects of data center facility operations, including power distribution, cooling systems, environmental monitoring, and physical security.
• Equipment Installation and Maintenance : Coordinate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware, network equipment, and other IT infrastructure components within the data center environment.
• Capacity Planning : Monitor and analyse data center capacity and performance metrics to identify potential bottlenecks or areas for optimization, and plan for future expansion as needed.
• Incident Response and Resolution : Respond to and troubleshoot data center-related incidents, such as power outages, equipment failures, or environmental alarms, to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of operations.
• Change Management : Implement and document changes to data center infrastructure in accordance with established change management processes and procedures, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Security Management : Enforce data center security policies and procedures, including access control, surveillance monitoring, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Disaster Recovery Planning : Develop and maintain data center disaster recovery plans and procedures, including regular testing and validation to ensure readiness in the event of a disaster or other emergency.
• Vendor Management : Coordinate with colocation and external vendors and service providers to procure equipment, manage service contracts, and elevate support issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate documentation of data center infrastructure, including equipment inventory, network diagrams, and operational procedures, and generate regular reports for management review.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing : Provide training and knowledge transfer to other team members on data center operations best practices, procedures, and technologies.
• ITSP : IT Spend Paper steps such as define objectives and scopes, conduct background research, identify key metrics and data sources, collect and analyze data, evaluate cost drivers and cost efficiency, assess IT investment priorities, draw conclusions and recommendations, write and format the paper, review and revise, finalize and publish.
• Colocation monthly / ad-hoc report : Review report content accuracy, assess performance metrics (KPI / SLA), check compliance with SLAs, assess security and compliance, evaluate capacity utilization, review financial impact to Maybank (if any), consider additional service and support, provide feedback and recommendations.
• Stock and Inventory Management : Prepare a master list for cabling (fiber / copper / SFP / etc). Conduct primary on-site checks at the storage area.
• Data Center Rack Request (DCR) : Prepare DCR and rack diagrams based on project requests for commissioning / decommissioning IT assets in the Data Center. Coordinate with DC Operations on the day of asset delivery / extraction.
• Patching and Cabling Request (PCR) : Prepare PCR and port assignments based on project requests. Share the documentation with DC Ops and conduct physical evaluations at the actual rack port management RU with them.
