Key Responsibilities
Industrial Relations & Union Management
- Act as the primary liaison between management and union representatives.
- Lead and manage union relations, grievance handling, and dispute resolution.
- Participate actively in collective bargaining negotiations in alignment with company policies and labor laws.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and collective agreements.
- Develop proactive employee relations strategies to maintain industrial harmony.
Foreign Worker & Expatriate Management
Oversee end-to-end management of foreign workers including recruitment, permits, housing, and welfare.Ensure compliance with immigration, work permit, and labor regulations.Liaise with government bodies, agencies, and service providers for foreign worker administration.Manage expatriate assignments, including onboarding, relocation, cultural integration, and policy adherence.Develop and implement programs to support integration of foreign and local employees.HR Strategy & Operations
Work closely with the Head of HR to implement HR strategies at plant level.Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and selection for plant operations.Lead performance management and disciplinary processes in line with HR policies.Support talent management, employee development, and succession planning initiatives.Ensure HR policies and code of conduct are consistently applied.Employee Engagement & Development
Strengthen communication and trust between employees, management, and union leaders.Promote employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale, productivity, and retention.Facilitate training programs to upskill employees and improve operational capability.Compliance & Governance
Monitor compliance with employment regulations and workplace safety requirements.Maintain HR documentation, employee records, and union agreements.Provide HR metrics and reports to the Head of HR for strategic decision-making.Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or equivalent.At least 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, with 3+ years in a plant HR management role.Strong background in industrial relations, union management, and collective bargaining.Experience in foreign worker management and expatriate administration.Excellent understanding of labor laws, immigration requirements, and HR compliance.Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders in a manufacturing environment.High integrity, discretion, and resilience in handling sensitive matters.
