Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality assurance (QA) tests in a timely manner according to departmental QA Programme.
- Maintain filing of patient documents and forms, delivery orders (DO) and other documents deemed crucial to Cancer Centre.
- Maintain adequate level of floor stocks required for Radiotherapy (RT) services.
- Explain and educate patients on Computed Tomography simulation (CT Sim) and RT processes.
- Manage the appointments for CT Sim and RT for the patients.
- Perform CT Sim for patients with precision and accuracy, complying with the Oncologist’s prescription.
- Deliver RT to the patients and closely monitor the patients on RT at all times to ensure safe and effective treatment.
- Assist in arranging RT review with the Oncologist for the patients.
- Observe and monitor the patients throughout the treatment period, and inform the Oncologist if severe or unexpected reactions are noticed.
- Assist in preparing daily statistics of CT Sim and RT.
- Ensure the implementation and continuous monitoring of the Person-Centered System.
- Prioritize the well-being and comfort of individuals by tailoring services to meet their unique needs and preferences.
- Work with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of patients' well-being.
- Continuous Improvement : Commit to ongoing learning and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in delivering person-centered care.
- Accurately document patient information and care interventions to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among healthcare team members.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all patient interactions to build trust and ensure professionalism.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of person-centered care and contribute to the overall improvement of healthcare services.
- Undertake other relevant tasks as may be directed by the Superior from time to time.
- To be involved in the continuous safety and performance improvement activities within the service and hospital wide.
Qualifications
Diploma in Radiotherapy, or BSc. in Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Therapy, and above.Fresh graduate is acceptable with relevant clinical attachments and reasonably good grades.Competent in Radiation Therapy.Good proficiency in written and spoken English.Polite, reliable, conscientious, hardworking and communicate well.Cooperative and works well as a team.More vacancies are available in Island Hospital, visit our website :
