Job Description
UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB‑wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. We are looking for a Lead System Analyst to spearhead the development and delivery of new services and support our growth ambition.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 10–15 system analysts, driving standards and practices across technical requirement gathering, impact analysis, effort estimation and technical solution design.
- Drive the Technical / System Requirements Lifecycle – from abstract product vision to detailed system and technical requirements.
- Support Functional BA by translating high‑level product vision into tangible, detailed technical and system requirements for developers, in collaboration with platform architects.
- Support Development and Testing by providing first‑level technical clarifications and conducting defect triage in consultation with stakeholders.
- Document final technical artefacts and ensure complete traceability to original technical requirements and change management.
- Manage and lead the team by example and ensure high quality output.
- Technical Requirement refinement / elaboration :
Refine and elaborate backend stories related to specific systems / platforms based on agreed technical requirements, ensuring consistency, detail and correct acceptance criteria.
Participate in Sprint Planning with Product Owner, Tribe Lead, Functional BA and squad members to understand technical requirements.Consult Solution Architects to clarify technical / system requirements.Defect Triage – conduct defect triage in consultation with Functional BA as needed.Requirements
Skills Required
Good understanding of digital banking products and system interactions, and retail banking.Extremely detail‑oriented and able to translate high‑level requirements into detailed documentation.Analytical skills to evaluate and analyse existing technical system interactions and identify improvement areas.Ability to design end‑to‑end system solutions and assess process design changes for downstream impact.Strong communication skills to clarify system / technical requirements with developers, testers and key stakeholders.Experience in Agile delivery environments – adopting agile behaviours and tools.Leadership and team management skills.Preferred Experience
Strong record of deliveries in Digital Banking solutions.Knowledge of technology stacks and architecture layers.Experience in both Waterfall and Agile delivery (SCRUM).Strong organisational and leadership skills; result‑oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.Education
Bachelor’s degree or University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.Additional Requirements
