This full-time Sales & Proposal Engineer position at Wasco Thermal Sdn Bhd (Formerly known as Mackenzie Industries Sdn Bhd) is based in Shah Alam, Selangor . In this role, you will have a key impact on the sales and proposal development for the company.
What you’ll be doing
To prepare sales proposals / quotation, tender bid, technical specification, price schedule and attend technical sales meeting.
Perform detail engineering calculation and generate detail engineering drawings for proposals.
Keeping up with the product knowledge and being up to date about the latest developments in technology.
Providing sales and administrative support involving efficient handling of top and confidential agreements.
Preparing monthly sales updates.
To market and promote company products. To evaluates and select suitable product type that complies with the technical requirements that is also commercially competitive and profitable.
Any other duties associated with your position as and when necessary, from time to time.
Ensure that daily tasks are carried out are in accordance with the HSE policies & procedures.
Ensure all employees under his care prioritize safety when perform their duties.
Ensure all employees under his care consider to eliminate / reduce environmental impact when perform their duties.
To be Employer representatives in HSE Committee. (if appointed).
Competency Requirement
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical)
Technical knowledge : a deep understanding of the company’s offering, including their features, benefits, and limitations. In addition, familiarity with industry standards, trends, and competitive landscape to tailor proposals effectively.
Analytical skills : ability to analyze client needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements. In addition, capability to identify potential issues or gaps in proposals and suggest feasible solutions.
Skill
Technical skills (boiler specification & basic engineering calculation)
Proposal development : experience in drafting and managing proposal documents, including tailoring content to address specific client needs. In addition, able to present proposals and requirements to clients and internal teams in a compelling manner.
Project management : able to manage multiple proposals and deadlines efficiently. In addition, precision in capturing and documenting requirements to ensure all aspects are covered in proposals.
Customer‑focused approach : skills in engaging with clients to gather detailed requirements and understand their expectations. In addition, able to negotiate terms and conditions effectively to meet client needs while aligning with company goals.
Collaboration : able to work with sales teams, technical experts, and other departments to gather insights and develop comprehensive proposals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
