Process Technician (Dialysate Production — RO & Mixing Systems)
You will maintain and repair the purified water (RO / EDI / UF) system, mixing tank, and associated equipment used to produce dialysis fluid. The role covers mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and basic automation tasks on Siemens SIMATIC PLC-based systems (TIA Portal / WinCC), plus GMP-style documentation and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities
- Operations & maintenance : Execute daily checks, PMs, and corrective maintenance for RO skids, pre-treatment (cartridge / softener / carbon), EDI / UF, pumps, mixing tanks, agitators, valves, heat exchangers, and CIP systems.
- Replace / clean RO membranes and filters; perform CIP / SIP and chemical sanitization (e.g., NaOH, HCl, NaOCl) safely.
- Monitor and optimize process parameters : pressure, flow, temperature, conductivity / resistivity, pH, ORP, TOC (where applicable).
- Automation & controls : Monitor Siemens SIMATIC PLC / SCADA (TIA Portal / WinCC); acknowledge and troubleshoot alarms; adjust setpoints within approved limits.
- Support instrumentation calibration (pressure / flow / level / temperature / conductivity) using HART or handheld calibrators.
- Work with integrators / OEMs on logic or HMI issues; assist in I / O checks and FAT / SAT when upgrades occur.
- Troubleshooting : Systematically diagnose electrical (VFDs, contactors, sensors), hydraulic (cavitation, leaks, air ingress), and pneumatic faults; implement safe temporary work-arounds and permanent fixes.
- Quality & compliance : Complete batch records, maintenance logs, and calibration sheets accurately and on time.
- Follow GMP / ISO 13485-style practices and water standards for dialysis (e.g., ISO 23500 / AAMI) as directed by QA.
- Adhere to LOTO, chemical handling, confined space, and other EHS procedures; maintain 5S in utility and mixing areas.
- Coordination : Liaise with Chinese OEMs / suppliers for parts and technical support; manage spare-parts inventory and service kits.
- Provide on-call coverage for production and respond to critical alarms after hours when needed.
- Train operators on basic care and first-level troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Diploma / Certificate in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical / Process, or related field.2–5 years’ hands-on experience in water treatment (RO / EDI / UF), pharma / food / beverage utilities, or process plant maintenance.Working knowledge of Siemens SIMATIC PLCs (S7-1200 / 1500), TIA Portal , and WinCC (basic navigation / diagnostics).Strong skills in pumps, piping, valves, seals, bearings, VFDs, and common process instrumentation.Able to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals; competent with multimeter / clamp meter and calibration tools.Languages : English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is strongly preferred (to read Chinese manuals and liaise with Chinese OEMs).Bonus : Exposure to GMP / ISO 13485 environments; familiarity with Malaysia Medical Device Act 737 practices; understanding of ISO 23500 / AAMI dialysis water requirements.Traits we value
