The incumbent is to be the Head of Department for the EHS and Logistics Department. He / she will be generally responsible to lead Overall EHS provisions, Supervise EHS Management System implementation, mentoring project EHS plan and program to meet project EHS policy and expectation of Client and local EHS legislation requirements. He / She will also manage the logistics team.
Job Description
- Develop, implement and integrate a robust Environmental, Health and Safety strategy and proactively help establish a culture with full leadership and employee engagement through ownership of EHS.
- Responsible for the design and overall delivery of the Site EHS strategy, in line with relevant legislation and company policy.
- Develop and execute plans for continuous and sustainable improvement in EHS performance focusing on best practices, Company policies and the business performance.
- Develop and communicate key performance indicators for process and occupational safety, occupational hygiene and environmental performance (leading and lagging).
- Develop, modify and implement the company's policies and standards for Environment, Health and Safety, including auditing and review.
- Possess a thorough understanding of local / regional regulations and company policy.
- Provide guidance and oversight to ensure compliance to all applicable EHS Policies.
- Analyse EHS metrics and review incident weekly and monthly incident trends to discover trends to justify the allocation of appropriate resources to projects where the safety risk is highest.
- Audit the project organization and associate behaviours to ensure that training, auditing and scoring methods are accurate and consistent.
- Ensure site leadership and associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety training.
- Review for effectiveness the deployed safety tools and revise to ensure continual improvement.
- Partner with corporate and other regional field safety personnel to leverage global safety and environmental best practices into project execution.
- To lead the site logistics team and ensure smooth traffic flow on site.
- Screen and recommend appointment of the Security team and ensure implementation are in line with Client's expectations
- Manage the site establishment and set up
