Overview

We are urgently recruiting for an experienced Corporate M&A Associate / Senior Associate to join the in-house legal team of a dynamic, Singapore-based New Law provider. This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious Legal Counsel to join a tech-enabled, entrepreneurial team driving transformation in the legal industry. You\'ll play a critical role advising on legal matters, being part of key internal projects, and fostering growth.

This role would suit an individual who :

  • Eager to dive straight in and be part of a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
  • Wants to work alongside the founder and CEO to help grow the business to the next level.
  • Has a strong work ethic and ambitious mindset — you\'ll be willing to go above and beyond, and rewarded with excellent progression opportunities.

The selected candidate will be based remotely in Malaysia , though there may also be an opportunity for international relocation further down the line.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have :

  • Provide legal advice in corporate M&A and related corporate commercial matters as part of the in-house team.
  • Support internal projects and liaise with stakeholders across the business, including senior leadership.

    • Qualifications

  • At least 4 years post-qualification experience at an international or leading local law firm.
  • Qualification in Malaysia or another commonwealth jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience within either a corporate commercial environment or an M&A environment.
  • Excellent communication and client-management skills, and the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders.
