Overview

To set strategies, initiate and optimize policies and rules for compliance management (including but not limited to anti-bribery, data protection, export control, etc.) as applicable to the company and its affiliates in other countries / regions, to be in line with the law update and corporate needs.

To prepare and provide trainings related to various compliance programs.

To conduct legal research on the laws and regulations on compliance or corporate development related matters.

To conduct investigations for compliance-related events and propose solutions.

To support resolution of disputes which occur in connection with compliance-related matters.

To initiate and craft new types of templates to cater to business needs.

To draft, review, interpret, or prepare contracts and other legal documents for all kinds of business deals.

To provide auxiliary support as instructed from time to time related to the legal and compliance affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Set strategies, initiate and optimize policies and rules for compliance management (including anti-bribery, data protection, export control, etc.) for the company and its affiliates in other countries / regions, aligned with law updates and corporate needs.
  • Prepare and provide trainings related to various compliance programs.
  • Conduct legal research on laws and regulations related to compliance or corporate development matters.

Job Requirements

  • Major in law, with bachelor or above.
  • Solid working experience of 6 years or above in a reputable law firm, international MNCs or high-growth start-up, with at least 3 years of solid experience focusing on compliance-related matters; experience in TMT, internet, cloud is a plus.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and legal analytical and reporting skills.
  • Sophisticated professional communication and ability to work in a cross-functional team to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to appreciate and grasp concepts and principles of law from multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues timely and appropriately, prioritize, and align with business goals.
  • Sense of urgency and time priority.
  • Capable and willing to work under pressure with a positive mindset.
  • High accountability in managing tasks and achieving goals.
  • Detail and result oriented.
  • Willing to travel when needed (within 20%).
  • Honest and high level of integrity is a priority.
