Job Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and developmental delays in children.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, targeting specific speech, language, and communication goals.
- Provide direct therapeutic intervention to children with a variety of communication disorders, including articulation disorders, language delays, fluency disorders, and social communication difficulties.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for each child.
- Educate parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child's communication development at home and in the community.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in speech-language pathology.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field is required.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in speech therapy, specifically with pediatric populations.Proficiency in conducting comprehensive Speech and Language Assessments to identify communication disorders.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized Therapeutic Intervention plans based on patient needs and goals.Strong knowledge of various Communication Disorders and effective treatment strategies.Experience in providing Pediatric Speech Therapy services, including articulation therapy, language therapy, and social skills training.Excellent Patient Care skills, including the ability to build rapport with children and their families.Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin is essential for effective communication with diverse patient population.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.Must be willing to work onsite at the Firststep Child Specialist Clinic in Kuala Lumpur.Job Benefits
