As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading the sales strategy and driving revenue growth for the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, a Tribute Portfolio property located in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This full-time role is pivotal in ensuring the hotel's commercial success and achieving its ambitious growth targets.

What you'll be doing

Developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing plans to promote the hotel's offerings to target markets

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including negotiating and securing contracts with key accounts and prospective clients

Managing and motivating the sales team to exceed revenue goals through effective leadership, coaching and performance management

Collaborating closely with the hotel's management team to align sales efforts with the overall business strategy

Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and tactics

Preparing detailed sales forecasts, reports and presentations to track performance and inform decision-making

Ensuring compliance with the hotel's policies, procedures and brand standards

What were looking for

Extensive experience (8+ years) in sales leadership roles within the hospitality industry, preferably in a hotel or resort environment

Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets

Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions

Proficient in using sales and customer relationship management (CRM) software

Degree in hospitality management, marketing or a related field
