Job Responsibilities
Providing support to subject teachers where applicable in ensuring identified students are catered for within lessons, e.g., modifying resources to improve accessibility and providing prompts / reminders for the completion of work. Establishing a supportive, caring and secure relationship with identified student(s), promoting respect, self-esteem and a positive, inclusive whole-school ethos. Providing in-class one-to-one support for identified learners. Providing one-to-one or small group interventions for identified students under the direction of the AHT - Inclusion. Developing knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical and emotional / behavioural / medical needs of the students and responding to them effectively. Helping develop programmes of learning activities and adapting appropriate materials. Supporting and motivating identified student(s), clarifying instructions, encouraging independent learning and behaviour, and enabling learning targets and outcomes to be achieved. Assisting with marking and correcting work. Keeping detailed records of all support, interventions and modifications made for identified students to enable effective review and analysis of their effectiveness. Maintaining records of student progress and attainment to inform review meetings. Attending meetings and reviews. Helping with school events, trips and activities. Upholding school discipline and regulations as appropriate and fostering equal opportunities in practice. Participating in duties – lunch / break / before and after school. Ensuring regular and effective communication between all relevant parties, including students, staff, parents and external agencies. Supporting the aims, values, mission and ethos of the school and participating in a team approach to all aspects of school life. Attending and contributing to staff meetings and INSET days, identifying areas for personal practice development. Taking appropriate responsibility for safeguarding and children’s welfare and being aware of confidential issues, keeping confidences appropriately. Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education / Psychology or a related field. Well-versed in the English Language. At least 3 years of working experience at the international school level. Seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking parents / clients. Excellent management and organizational skills. Good interpersonal and communication skills. High level of English proficiency. Able to work independently. IT literate. How to Apply
