As a Global Finance Executive or Finance Manager in Swivelt, you will play a key role in overseeing and managing the financial operations of the business. You will be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, bookkeeping, forecasting and planning, handling multi-currency transactions, setting up new entities, managing AP & AR and taxations, collaborating with auditors, and managing suppliers for corporate secretarial functions. The position offers significant career advancement potential, with opportunities to grow into roles such as Director of Finance and ultimately Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Ensure accurate reporting of financial results, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Oversee daily bookkeeping functions to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
- Ensure proper recording of financial transactions , including multi-currency transactions across various jurisdictions.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are consistent with financial policies.
- Lead the preparation of financial forecasts , annual budgets, and long-term financial plans.
- Provide strategic insights on budgeting, cost management, and revenue projections.
- Develop financial models to support decision-making processes for business growth.
- Multi-Currency Management : Oversee multi-currency transactions and ensure accurate currency conversion and reporting.
- Manage foreign exchange risks and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Entity Setup & Structuring : Manage the financial aspects of setting up new entities in multiple regions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and tax laws.
- Coordinate with legal and operational teams to ensure proper setup of entities, bank accounts, and financial systems.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP & AR) : Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Manage relationships with vendors, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Auditing & Compliance : Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate audits , provide necessary documentation, and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Supplier and Corporate Secretarial Management : Manage the relationship with suppliers related to corporate secretarial services, including governance, compliance, and reporting.
- Taxation Responsibilities : Tax Compliance : Ensure compliance with all relevant local and international tax regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT / GST, withholding taxes, and other taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Tax Reporting & Filing : Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely tax returns and filings, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Transfer Pricing & Cross-Border Taxation : Manage transfer pricing documentation and ensure that cross-border transactions are in compliance with local and international tax laws.
- Tax Planning & Strategy : Provide strategic guidance on tax planning to optimize the company’s tax position, including identifying tax incentives and exemptions.
- Tax Audits & Disputes : Coordinate with tax authorities on audits, disputes, and ensure effective resolution of any tax-related matters.
- Tax Risk Management : Identify and mitigate potential tax risks, ensuring that the company’s tax exposure is minimized and all tax obligations are met on time.
- Leadership : Lead and mentor a finance team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional collaboration : Collaborate with operations and senior management to support business goals.
- Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications : CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- Experience : More than 6 years of relevant full set of finance & accounting experience for multi-countries.
- Industry experience : Experience working in a BPO or start-up company is a plus.
- Skills : Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
- Tech proficiency : Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
