Overview
The OTC Analyst will manage the order-to-cash process, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial transactions within the retail industry. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to maintain efficiency and compliance in accounting and finance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure sales receivables are reconciled and settled timely, discrepancies are investigated and resolved completely, and actions are taken with stakeholders to build awareness and business solutions to prevent financial risks.
- Analyze and clarify aged and outstanding items with follow-up action to ensure timely clearance; monitor and track movements to keep accounts clean and up-to-date. Discuss and agree findings with stakeholders for operation process improvement and preventive control.
- Maintain Master Data, prepare Journals, Reconciliation Reports, and Accounting Analysis reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of transactions, in accordance with the process handbook / desktop procedure / Closing Cockpit.
- Ensure closing activities are carried out effectively and efficiently, adhering to the closing schedule; document and obtain agreement for any deviations due to business requirements.
- Comply with internal control, accounting standards and company procedures to ensure integrity of financial information.
- Serve as the main point of contact within the team to provide expert advice on SAP technical and business processes within the OTC regime.
- Actively participate in issue management, perform root cause analysis, and drive discussions with stakeholders on findings and actions for improvement.
- Develop and review work procedures and document flows to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within OTC that drive productivity and strengthen control while supporting process improvement and standardization.
- Manage the performance and efficiency of the OTC function through regular KPI reviews and drive actions to improve operational performance.
- Understand systems and tools to derive business results and collaborate with IT / SAP / other functions to drive process automation.
- Participate in multiple projects and finance initiatives and contribute to successful implementations within set timeframes and budgets.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications : Advance Diploma / Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or CPA / MIA equivalent.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Accounting / Finance or SSC with proven strong experience in OTC area.Proficiency in financial / accounting tools (SAP HANA / FIORI / SAP Analytics / Cadency / Blackline / LINKKI / POS / TEAMWORK) and other OS (MS / Google Office, SNOW, Power BI, Power Query, Tableau, Google Looker, Concur, etc).Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate observations effectively, high attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication skills in English and Mandarin; ability to work professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.Ability to interpret and apply IFRS and professional accounting standards.Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret accounting analyses or investigations and root causes to support business decision-making.Ability to handle migration and improvement projects / initiatives (local and global).Experience in process modelling / documentation.Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to improving processes.Job Offer
