Clerk of Works (Civil & Structural) (High Rise Building, On-Site)

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in site supervision or quality control in civil and structural construction projects.

Familiarity with Malaysian construction standards, CIDB requirements, and local regulatory frameworks.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify workmanship defects.

Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination on site.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic construction documentation.

Knowledge of safety standards and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor daily construction activities related to civil and structural works to ensure compliance with design and specifications.
• Verify materials, workmanship, and construction methods meet project standards and relevant Malaysian codes.
• Report any deviations, defects, or non‑conformities promptly to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager.
• Maintain detailed site records including inspection reports, test results, and photographic evidence.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to clarify technical details and resolve site issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations on site.
• Assist in coordinating site testing and quality control procedures.
• Attend site meetings and provide technical input related to civil and structural works.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and report delays or issues.
