Construction Oversight
- Oversee daily construction works on housing units, infrastructure, and common facilities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections on structural, architectural, and M&E works to ensure quality workmanship.
- Verify that materials used meet project specifications and are approved by the consultant.
- Identify defects, poor workmanship, or deviations and ensure corrective action is taken.
Progress Monitoring
Monitor contractors’ work progress against the project schedule and report delays or issues to the Project Manager / Consultant.Record daily site activities, manpower, weather conditions, and construction progress.Assist in verifying and endorsing contractor’s work completion for progress claims.Coordination & Communication
Liaise closely with site supervisors, consultants, and contractors to ensure works are properly coordinated between trades (C&S, Architectural, and M&E).Attend regular site meetings and highlight any construction or coordination issues.Support the developer’s project team in ensuring smooth site operations.Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily inspection and progress reports with photographic evidence.Maintain records of materials, site test results, variation works, and as-built conditions.Report non-conformance or site discrepancies promptly to consultants for action.Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure contractors implement proper site safety and environmental practices as per statutory requirements.Report unsafe conditions, poor housekeeping, or non-compliance to the Safety Officer / Project Manager.Background & Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management, or related field.Valid CIDB Green Card.Registration with Board of Engineers (BEM) or LAM is an advantage.Safety & Quality-related certifications (e.g., ISO, QLASSIC, or OSHA) are beneficial.Technical Skills
Good understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and finishing standards.Able to interpret architectural, structural, and M&E drawings.Familiar with QLASSIC requirements and local authority standards.Competent in report writing and using digital site reporting tools (advantage).Professional Experience
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in building or residential projects.Familiar with site coordination among M&E, architectural, and structural works.Exposure to projects involving reinforced concrete structures, architectural finishing, and infrastructure works.Experience working with consultants, developers, and contractors.Background in quality assurance and control (QA / QC) is an advantage.Application Questions
