Senior Full Stack Engineer

Job overview and responsibility

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in transforming massive trade datasets into powerful, accessible insights. You'll own the design and development of scalable systems and applications that enable our customers to discover intelligence hidden within global trade flows. This is a hands-on, highly technical role where your expertise will drive

architectural decisions, improve performance and reliability, and elevate engineering practices across the team. By joining us, you'll be building tools that shape how businesses and journalists uncover truth and opportunity from the world's trade data.

Own the design, development, and scaling of complex web applications and services.

Partner with product and data teams to define technical solutions that unlock insights from massive trade datasets.

Drive architectural decisions, ensuring systems are reliable, performant, and maintainable.

Contribute to and advocate for engineering best practices (testing, CI / CD, code quality, security).

Identify and implement opportunities for automation, efficiency, and system resilience.

Collaborate across teams (data science, DevOps, product) to deliver high-impact solutions.

Provide technical guidance to peers and share expertise, without formal people-management responsibilities.

Stay on the forefront of technology by evaluating and integrating new frameworks, tools, and processes.

Required skills and experiences

At least 3 years of experience in a senior / lead role with strong proficiency in Javascript, Node.Js and PHP / Vue.Js

Deep knowledge of core programming principles (SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI) and design patterns.

Proven experience in architecting and building modern, progressive web applications and services.

Expertise in building and consuming APIs, ideally within a microservices architecture.

Strong proficiency in PHP and / or , including practical experience with their frameworks.

Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks , React, or Angular).

Strong background with databases and search engines (MySQL, Elasticsearch, etc).

Solid understanding of cloud computing, CI / CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

Experience with automated testing and TDD.

Skilled in web server configuration (Nginx, Apache).

Comfort working in Agile / Scrum environments with Git-based version control.

Innovative thinker with a strong sense of ownership and problem-solving ability.

Embraces working in a Scrum environment

Proficiency in one of the following Front-end frameworks : , React, or Angular

Proficiency in building API services, preferably with a Microservice architecture approach.
