PLM Configuration Controller,
you will play a key role in supporting Cochlear\'s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. You\'ll work closely with global teams to make sure product data is accurate, processes run smoothly, and changes are implemented correctly. This role ensures that our products meet both regulatory and business needs. Key Responsibilities : PLM System & User Support
Act as the first point of contact for PLM system users, resolving issues and providing expert guidance. Monitor system tasks and workflows, helping users prioritize and complete their work on time. Support training activities by helping to prepare user guides and training materials. Ensure documents and data in PLM are stored and maintained according to company standards. Act as a "super user," offering advice and hands-on help to colleagues.
Data & Reporting
Define, collect, and track PLM system metrics. Generate regular reports showing workflow progress, KPI performance, and overall system use. Create and distribute ad-hoc reports when requested by management. Work with the team lead to design new reports to improve visibility of data quality and efficiency.
Data Integrity & Auditing
Regularly audit PLM data to spot issues such as duplicates, missing documents, or incomplete records. Work with users and the Configuration Management Team to correct data and maintain compliance. Update and clean up records to make sure all information follows current standards.
Product Changes & Promotions
Support the implementation of product changes and promotions from proposal to completion. Ensure all changes are reflected accurately in PLM and ERP systems. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure product data and processes meet quality requirements.
Configuration Management Activities
Help resolve service requests related to PLM through the Cochlear Service Portal. Take ownership of specific configuration management activities as assigned. Track progress, report issues, and support the team lead with project-related requirements.
Key Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field. At least
2 years\' experience
in document control, data management, or a similar role. Knowledge of change management and document control processes, ideally in a multinational environment. Experience with PLM tools (e.g., PPM, Windchill, Jama) is highly valued. Strong MS Office skills, with excellent attention to detail (proofreading and structured documentation). Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to handle conversations at all organizational levels. Experience with product development processes, configuration, and change management. Able to
work on rotational shifts
