Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Machinist located in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia. The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components as per engineering drawings and specifications. The role requires high attention to detail, understanding of complex machining processes, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture complex components.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Load raw materials, measure and align workpieces, and select proper tooling.
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances.
- Perform basic programming and editing of G-code when required.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
- Maintain machine cleanliness and conduct basic preventive maintenance.
- Record production data, machine settings, and part dimensions.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve machining issues.
- Follow company safety policies and standard operating procedures at all times.
Requirements :
Diploma / Certificate in Machining, Precision Engineering, or related technical field.Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining.Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T symbols.Familiarity with high-precision component machining.Basic troubleshooting of CNC machine issues.Proficient in using measuring tools and inspection equipment.Experience with CAM software is advantages.Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Willingness to work shifts and overtime if required.
