Job Responsibilities :
Purchase materials economically, ensuring the lowest cost while maintaining required quality and service standardsCollate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials, goods and suppliesManage material planning, purchase requisitions, and purchase orders specifically for spare partsConduct price checks and comparisons to ensure competitive pricingPrepare and send Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliersFollow up with vendors regarding shipment and delivery; confirm or adjust orders as necessaryMaintain daily communication with suppliersCoordinate with planners, sales support, and warehouse departments to ensure smooth ordering processesSource new suppliers and engage with them regarding inquiries, pricing, and quality concernsTrack order statuses and ensure timely delivery of materials and goodsAddress issues related to non-supplied, under-ordered, over-ordered, or damaged goodsLiaise with warehouse staff to ensure all received products are in good conditionUpdate delivery orders and ensure accurate documentation is forwarded to the Accounts Department for payment processingProvide support to other departments to facilitate smooth workflowsMaintain proper filing of all documents used and preparedMaintain the SST Exemption SKU list and associated purchase recordsUpdate and maintain cost records for new itemsEnsure maintenance of ISO document records and compliance with ISO standardsConduct annual reviews of supplier performanceCoordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the purchasing functionFoster teamwork and good rapport with colleagues, and cooperate with other sections to ensure quality and efficient work executionComply with all company policies, regulations, and instructions at all timesAssist with any other tasks required by the Purchasing Department as neededPerform any others duties assigned by superiorUndertake special assignments or ad-hoc projects as directed by the superior from time to timeJob Requirements :
Minimum SPM, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related qualificationMinimum 2-3 years of working experience in the related fieldExperience with SQL System is an added advantageStrong understanding of purchasing, procurement, and vendor managementKnowledge of Microsoft Office application (particularly Excel, Word)Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and EnglishIndependent and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust be result oriented, highly motivated & able to meet deadlinesA team player with positive attitude, initiative in nature, and diligent in carrying out tasksProactive, dependable and able to work independentlyPossess own transport and willing to travel as needed between locations Kota Kemuning & PJ (Taman Medan) as and when required.Successful candidate can look forward to a competitive salary, good fringe benefits, on the job training as well as excellent career progression.
