IT Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Analyze and provide timely support and resolution on IT related technical problems for the organization.
• Provide server, network and data communication equipment administration, including MS-based servers, network security, antivirus, firewall, router, switches and modems.
• Ensure IT backup and ELV resources.
• Servers and workstations hardware tracking, upgrade and maintenance.
• Provide desktop support and training for email systems, printer, scanner and related equipment.
• Investigate user problems, plan, test, recommend and implement new solutions.
• Continuous improvement in the business system and infrastructure, procedures and processes.
• Document IT resolutions, procedures and layout for future reference.
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of ELV systems including CCTV, Card Access, Alarm Systems, Smart AI / IoT Technology, VoIP systems and Internal / External Networks Structured Cabling.
• Perform system troubleshooting and technical support.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, product specification sheets, system layouts and manuals.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification.
• Provide support for the WAN / LAN / TCP IP environment and structured cabling for networking, CCTV and Door Access.
• Provide on‑site support, maintenance and servicing of equipment and systems as required.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to CCTV systems.
• Provide remote and on‑site technical support.
• Assist with network setup for IP cameras, NVRs, and DVRs.
• Perform system diagnostics and root cause analysis for faults.
• Ensure proper integration of CCTV systems with other security solutions.
• Conduct firmware updates and software patches for security enhancements.
• Guide users through troubleshooting steps and best practices.
• Maintain documentation of installations, configurations, and support cases.
• Provide technical support of video management systems (VMS).
• Assist with system design and recommend appropriate CCTV solutions.
• Train clients and end‑users on system operation and maintenance.
• Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor and high‑altitude locations.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations and maintenance.
• Understanding of analog and IP‑based CCTV systems.
• Understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, subnetting, PoE, routers, switches).
• Understanding of video management software.
• Knowledge of cabling, connectors, and power supply requirements.
• Familiarity with remote viewing configurations (port forwarding, DDNS, VPN).
• Manage and maintain ELV / IoT devices such as CCTV system, CCTV camera, door access devices, copier machines, interactive panels, IP phone.
• Manage and grant access to door access, CCTV system, copier machines, and other devices, ensuring access rights are approved according to the process flow.
• Review access to ELV devices periodically to confirm accurate permissions.
• Work as a team member in IT projects.
