Overview
The individual is responsible for planning, exploring, evaluating, and executing medical technology within the Sunway Healthcare Group (SHG), aiming to improve patient care, optimize clinician workflows, and enhance productivity.
Functional Responsibilities
- Technology Innovation - Stay informed about changes in healthcare, medical technology, and care delivery solutions to identify opportunities for innovation, improvement, and value-added initiatives within the SHG hospitals.
- Medical Equipment Planning - Support the medical equipment planning for new and existing SHG hospitals or ACC (ambulatory care centre). Develop and consolidate the list of equipment needed, quantity, type, specification, and requirements needed for strategic procurement.
- Evaluation - Support the procurement team and end-users for the technical evaluation of medical technology to ensure the equipment or system meets the clinical needs, safety standards, operational, and authority requirements.
- Implementation - Support the implementation, installation, or adoption of medical technology in SHG hospitals or ACC, including coordinating site preparation to meet the equipment delivery and installation requirements, submission and obtaining necessary authority approval, as well as ensuring critical milestones and deliverables are met on time.
- Improvement - Overseeing the utilization, maintenance, and effectiveness of the existing medical equipment and systems in SHG hospitals and ACC to identify and initiate continuous improvements for better patient care and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration - Work closely with various stakeholders, e.g. colleagues, management, and doctors from SHG hospitals or ACC, and vendors to determine the operational requirements and technological needs.
- Database - Develop and maintain medical technology-related information, planning a database and records for better data management. Utilize appropriate analytic or automation tools to analyze information efficiently for management decision-making.
- Support - Provide support as needed for SHG and its hospitals or ACC.
Job Requirements (Qualifications & Experience)
At least a Bachelor\'s Degree in a medical technology-related field (e.g., biomedical engineering, medical physics, medical imaging, etc.).More than 5 years of medical technology-related experience with exposure to medical technology planning and familiarity with medical equipment-related guidelines, regulations, and standards.Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical competence and management capabilities in the medical technology field.Independent, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively engage with people from all levels.Highly motivated, proactive, meticulous, and detail-oriented.Good collaboration skills, a team player with strong professional ethics, and a great sense of responsibility.Strong interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.Application questions
