Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead and manage all HR functions within our construction company based in Penang. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR strategy in alignment with our operational goals in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage end-to-end recruitment for skilled and unskilled labor, site engineers, project managers, and support staff. Coordinate with project teams to forecast hiring needs.
Foster a positive working environment by addressing employee grievances, resolving conflicts, and promoting a culture of open communication.
Implement and manage performance appraisal systems that drive high performance, including KPIs specific to construction site roles.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, construction industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies.
Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs tailored to technical construction roles and project management needs.
Oversee payroll, allowances, and statutory contributions. Benchmark industry pay practices and recommend adjustments as needed.
Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support business growth and employee engagement.
Provide on-site HR support when needed, especially during project kick-offs, audits, and critical phases.
