Key Responsibilities

1. Regional HR Operations & Administration

Oversee end-to-end HR administration for the KL office while supporting HR functions for the Singapore HQ and affiliated China offices (Shanghai, Hangzhou)

Maintain accurate employee records and ensure cross-border documentation compliance

Manage staff databases, payroll coordination, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, PCB)

2. Recruitment & Onboarding

Manage full-cycle recruitment including job postings, interviews, and selection coordination

Conduct reference checks, prepare employment contracts, and ensure structured onboarding for new hires

Support the Group's recruitment plans as it expands into the biotechnology sector

3. HR Policies, Compliance & Employee Relations

Ensure adherence to Malaysian employment laws and HR policy standards

Draft, update and enforce HR policies, SOPs, and staff handbooks

Support employee engagement efforts and act as liaison for grievance handling and staff welfare matters

4. Reporting & Management Support

Prepare HR reports, headcount summaries, and audit documentation for management review

Assist in HR budget planning and manpower forecasting

Provide administrative support to the Group HR Director and Group CEO for HR project initiatives

Requirements

  • A recognised Bachelor's Degree in HRM, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or Biomedical disciplines from a reputable Malaysian university
  • Strong foundation in Malaysian labour law, HRIS, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant HR administrative experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Experience supporting cross-border or regional HR functions is an advantage
  • Familiarity with healthcare, wellness, life sciences, or biomedical industries is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous due to coordination with China-based teams
  • Able to work independently in a lean regional team and comfortable handling multi-country HR admin workflows
