Sourcing Engineer

Penerangan pekerjaanAnalyze procurement data and market trends to formulate procurement strategies for various materials and goods. Select the most efficient and cost-effective procurement channels, balancing quality, cost, and delivery timelines. Create and process purchase orders in alignment with procurement plans. Execute procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards. Implement specific procurement processes and ensure their consistency across all purchasing activities. Analyze quotations received from suppliers, reviewing all components to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Identify and recommend opportunities for cost reduction and implement cost control strategies to improve the overall procurement process. Collaborate effectively with various departments to ensure alignment on procurement needs and schedules. Act as a liaison between departments and suppliers to address any issues or concerns promptly, ensuring smooth operations across the supply chain. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field. Min 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management. Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier relationship management. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience in negotiating with suppliers and managing relationships is critical. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, procurement software, or relevant tools . Mandarin proficiency is an advantage, aiding communication with China-based colleagues and suppliers.

The company is currently establishing a production facility in Johor, Malaysia, focusing on the manufacturing of industrial-grade transport packaging products. - Develop, review, and manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet the company's quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Identify new suppliers, assess their capabilities, and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure reliability and competitiveness.
