Role and Responsibilities
Job Summary : Based in Malaysia, we are hiring a Regional Sales Manager - PP APAC. In this role, you will manage our customer base, sales resources, products, and channels to achieve planned results for the dedicated country(s) or market. Expected results include growth in profitable sales and market share.
- Develop monthly sales forecasts
- Create sales plans to achieve the sales objective defined by the group on an annual basis
- Build trusting relationships with key end-customers and internal stakeholders
- Work with the marketing department on planning and execution of marketing activities throughout the region or market
- Develop marketing strategy, market intelligence and market share together with the marketing team
- Provide visit reports and market trends, and customer feedback via CRM
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and training
Geographical Area : within APAC
Specify percentage of domestic travel required : min 50%
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
Manage and handle customers’ queries, requests / complaints and coordinate with the operation team to satisfy customers' needsIdentifying and seizing business opportunities and developing new accountsAccountable for all logistics and any relevant related issues / collection of paymentAnalyses sales trends / preparation of reports for management and advice on the businessProvide forecasts / budget for markets and territory for in chargeSupport the Line Manager in planning, developing and implementing sales strategies and activities to meet overall objectivesGood understanding of this business environment and ability to connect the marketJob Specifications
A university degreeMinimum 8-15 years industrial business / commercial / sales experienceUnderstanding and knowledge of the customers / market related to carbonate (chips / marbles) and talc marketsCandidates with experience in the industrial minerals industry will have an added advantageUnderstanding of the plastic, rubber, paint and coating, adhesive, sealants, pulp and packaging market in APAC region will be an added advantageStrong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skillsLogistic knowledgeCustomer management and satisfactionDemonstrated and proven track record of achievement in industrial salesGood team player, self-motivated and capable of working through complex problems and managing conflictGood business acumenPosition Type
