IT Officer / IT Technician

Overview

IT Officer / IT Technician role at Teacher of Arts (High school) Philosophy of the Arts (HKU). The position is posted for the HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science (Ref. : ) and is to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University retirement benefits scheme contributions totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities

• Create, enhance, and manage web applications using front-end, back-end, and database tools.
• Offer technical guidance and support to resolve IT issues.
• Help configure and set up computer systems and related devices.
• Conduct training sessions on software usage and IT protocols.
• Oversee IT equipment inventory and maintenance.
• Uphold adherence to IT guidelines and security protocols.
• Provide on-site IT assistance during events and after-hours support.

Qualifications

Salary, benefits and contract

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test. Applicants with lower academic qualifications and less work experience will be considered for the position of IT Technician. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
