Develop and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, and wholesalers to generate room bookings.
Identify new travel trade partners and establish business agreements to expand the hotel’s market reach.
Manage existing travel agent accounts, ensuring continuous engagement and satisfaction.
Conduct regular sales calls, courtesy visits, and product updates with key partners.
2. Contracting & Rate Negotiation
Negotiate corporate and leisure travel agent rates, allotments, and special offers in line with revenue and yield strategy.
Ensure timely renewal of annual contracts with competitive pricing and value-added benefits.
Work closely with Revenue and Reservations teams to monitor room inventory allocations and booking performance.
3. Sales Strategy & Market Development
Develop annual sales plans and action strategies to grow revenue from the travel agent segment.
Identify emerging travel trends, seasonal opportunities, and new market segments (e.g. domestic leisure, inbound groups).
Collaborate with marketing to support travel trade campaigns, familiarization trips (FAM), and travel fairs.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
Track production from travel agents and analyze performance by market and channel.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and competitor analysis.
Recommend corrective actions to improve sales conversion and market share.
Coordinate with the Front Office, Reservations, and Revenue teams to ensure seamless handling of travel agent bookings and group check‑ins.
Liaise with Finance to ensure accuracy in commission handling and credit arrangements.
Work with Marketing on collateral, promotions, and travel agent communications.
6. Representation & Networking
Represent the hotel at trade shows, travel marts, exhibitions, and networking events to promote the property.
Host familiarization trips (FAM trips) and site inspections for travel partners.
Strengthen the hotel’s brand visibility in the travel trade community.
