Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Revenue Manager to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for optimising our revenue strategies and supporting the overall financial performance of our hotel properties.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement revenue management strategies to maximise room revenues and RevPAR
- Analyse market trends and demand patterns to create short, medium, and long-term revenue plans
- Manage daily pricing and inventory across multiple properties
- Evaluate group enquiries and provide quotations aligned with brand and property strategies
- Prepare and analyse room revenue forecasts and annual budgets in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Lead Revenue Meetings, identifying risks and opportunities to optimise results
- Monitor competitive set pricing and market conditions, recommending strategic adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with General Managers, Sales & Marketing teams to maximise revenue across all hotel departments
- Prepare and present End of Month performance reports, highlighting key insights and recommendations
- Stay abreast of local market trends and competition in Kuala Lumpur to inform revenue strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldProven experience in a revenue-focused role within the hospitality industryStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trendsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelSolid understanding of revenue management principles and practicesDetail-oriented with exceptional organisational skillsGoal-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving revenue targetsKnowledge of Opera Cloud and IDeaS RMS (advantageous)Familiarity with local market trends and competition in Kuala LumpurAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilitiesCollaborative approach with the ability to influence key stakeholdersOther information
