Welding Team Leader

Genic Technology (Malaysia) Sdn.Bhd. is a newly established Japanese manufacturing company, founded in 2025. Headquartered in Osaka, Japan, the company specializes in manufacturing and manufacturing-related services, combining both manufacturing and trading functions.

Despite being a new entrant in the industry, the company has rapidly expanded its presence across Asia, with branch offices in China, Singapore, and Thailand, supporting its regional operations and customer base

Job Scope :

Supervise and coordinate plastic welding operations on the production floor.

Lead a team of welders to ensure high-quality output and timely completion of jobs.

Ensure welding work meets precision engineering standards and technical specifications.

Set up and monitor plastic welding machines and equipment.

Work closely with the engineering and quality teams to resolve welding or production issues.

Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to company SOPs and safety standards.

Job Requirements :

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in plastic welding within a precision manufacturing environment.

At least 1-2 year of supervisory or team lead experience.

Proficient in plastic welding methods (e.g. hot plate, ultrasonic, hot air gun, or butt welding).

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents

Ability to speak Mandarin to communicate with our colleagues in China.

Good leadership and team management skills.

Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and safety.

Familiar with ISO or other manufacturing quality standards is an added advantage.

Able to start work with short notice period.
