HR Generalist
Location : Kuala Lumpur
Salary Range : RM5,000 – RM10,000
About the Role :
As the key HR interface between our Malaysia office and the headquarters in China, the HR Generalist will manage the full employee lifecycle for both local and EOR employees. This role ensures all HR operations comply with Malaysian labor regulations and company policies, providing efficient and professional HR support for the business in Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities :
Manage work visa and permit processes for foreign employees, including new applications, renewals, changes, and cancellations. Maintain the visa database, track expiry dates, and provide timely updates and guidance to employees and management. Liaise closely with immigration authorities, government agencies, and external vendors to ensure smooth processing.
Handle monthly payroll accurately and on time, including attendance data consolidation, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB / MTD). Coordinate with payroll vendors (if any), verify payroll data, and address employee payroll or attendance inquiries.
Administer statutory benefits (EPF, SOCSO, EIS) and support company
supplementary benefits (medical insurance, annual health check-ups). Act as the contact point for HR and payroll queries, providing clear and professional responses.
Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, confirmation, transfer, and exit, ensuring timely issuance of employment contracts, confirmation letters, and termination certificates.
Prepare regular HR reports and ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws, tax regulations, and data protection requirements.
Continuously review and improve HR processes to enhance employee experience and strengthen integration with the group.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of HR experience in Malaysia, preferably with multinational companies or Shared Service Centers (SSC).
Hands-on experience in payroll calculation and statutory compliance (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB / MTD).
Practical experience in handling Malaysian work visas for expatriates, with strong knowledge of immigration procedures and Malaysian labor laws.
Fluent in English and Malay (written and spoken). Mandarin proficiency is a strong advantage for communication with China HQ.
Strong communication and customer service skills; trustworthy, reliable, and able to maintain high confidentiality standards.
