Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Assistant Maintenance Manager to join our team in Sepang, Malaysia. In this role, you will support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the maintenance operations of our facilities, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of equipment and systems in a tropical climate.
- Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs
- Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors
- Support the management of maintenance budgets and control expenses
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards
- Analyze maintenance data and prepare reports for upper management
- Participate in equipment procurement and upgrade decisions
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues and coordinate rapid resolutions
- Collaborate with other departments to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities
- Assist in training and developing maintenance team members
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures
- Address specific maintenance challenges related to the tropical climate in Sepang
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management or related fieldStrong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systemsProficiency in maintenance management systems and CMMS softwareExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong leadership and team management abilitiesEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficient in Microsoft Office suiteFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations in MalaysiaKnowledge of safety protocols and regulatory complianceExperience in budget management and cost controlAbility to read and interpret technical documents and blueprintsWillingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as neededKnowledge of local maintenance regulations in MalaysiaFamiliarity with tropical climate maintenance challenges and solutionsSeniority level
