Reporting to : Software engineer & IT support reports to the Head of IT.

General Overview :

Software Engineer - Analyze, design, and develop software. Tasks include writing functional specifications, design documentation, coding, unit testing, debugging, integration, performance tuning, and maintenance of assigned software modules. IT Support - handle hands-on technical tasks, assisting in the smooth operation of the school’s IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

• End-User Support : Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or the ticketing system.
• Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to laptops / desktops (Windows / macOS), printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
• Account Management : Manage user accounts, including creation, modification, and termination in Active Directory / Azure AD and other company systems.
• Software & Hardware Management : Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
• Onboarding / Offboarding : Prepare and deploy IT equipment for new hires and manage equipment returns for departing employees.
• Documentation : Create and update user guides, technical support documentation, and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
• Automation & Scripting : (Where applicable) Assist in writing and maintaining simple scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate repetitive IT tasks like software deployment, user administration, or system reporting.
