To support the Senior Manager, National Sales in achieving the department’s sales objectives through good understanding of the market trend and conditions, proper business planning and excellence in execution for Independent Pharmacy Channel.
- Develop a balanced annual sales development plan incorporating trade customer and marketing objectives toward achieving the company’s top-line and bottom-line objectives.
- Work with marketing team in development of sound trade programs, execute and manage the programs to meet set objectives within approved trade spend.
- Periodically review operations effectiveness and where necessary to lead process changes toward promoting greater efficiency in operational or cost control areas, e.g. customer coverage effectiveness, basic call procedure, e-PO and etc.
- Develop, execute and monitor distribution programs to increase depth (distribution retail outlets) & width (new retail outlets) presence.
- Drive merchandising standards and ensure POSM are optimally utilized to raise visibility of distributed products.
- Identify relevant training and development programs to continuously enhance the effectiveness and performance of the sales team.
- Provide monthly update on competitive activities, competitor product launches and key trade developments.
- Monitor and control total sales expenditures within allocated budget.
- Possess a minimum of 8-10 years experience in relevant field, with 5-6 years experience as people manager.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of the industry / market / competitors / customers
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and a proven sales track record in assigned products / services / systems and an existing network of contacts
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of regulatory requirements of products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, warranties, etc.
- Demonstrate strong communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrate advanced research and analytical skills
- Demonstrate proficiencies in office productivity tools (e.g. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Bachelors Degree in Allied Health / Science / Business / Marketing / related field.
