Job Description

Ensure the effective and efficient management of SIDREC’s overall operations, including the Center’s Human Resource (HR), Administration (Admin) & IT, Governance and Finance functions Manage the development, implementation and periodic review of strategies, policies and procedures relating to SIDREC’s overall operations, including the Center’s HR, Admin & IT, Finance and Governance functions Provide counselling on SIDREC’s operational policies and procedures, including those relating to the Center’s HR, Admin & IT, Finance and Governance functions Co-ordinate Board and Board Committee meetings and prepare Board papers relating to SIDREC’s HR, Admin & IT, Finance and Governance functions Manage the development, implementation and periodic review of SIDREC’s HR initiatives and systems, including SIDREC’s competency framework and capacity building initiatives as well as SIDREC’s training and development programmes Manage SIDREC’s end-to-end recruitment process i.e. from the preparation of job descriptions, sourcing candidates until the on-boarding of a new recruit Assist with the performance management and review of SIDREC’s staff Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues raised by SIDREC staff Manage the exit of SIDREC staff Maintain the records of SIDREC’s staff Review SIDREC’s employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance Prepare monthly payroll as well as monthly and annual statutory filings (e.g. EPF, SOCSO, IRB) Work independently and where appropriate with other unit heads on engagement with stakeholders comprising regulators, capital market intermediaries, industry associations and other capital market stakeholders Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with SIDREC’s Members to ensure effective management of SIDREC’s membership register and compliance to SIDREC’s Constitution and any company secretarial requirements Review and assess complaints made against SIDREC by external parties Contribute to SIDREC’s Annual Report or other stakeholder reports, marketing and promotional materials and communications to SIDREC’s Members as may be necessary Manage the development, implementation and periodic review of SIDREC’s risk framework Mentor, coach and supervise SIDREC’s operations staff i.e. staff supporting SIDREC’s HR, Admin, Finance and IT functions Support the dispute relation team in their case management as and when required Support any policy and research related work identified by the CEO Undertake such other assignments / projects as may be instructed by the CEO from time to time Job Requirement : Qualification and Experience A strong first degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or other relevant field from a recognised university Strong knowledge of whole cycle of HR functions Experience in Accounting and Finance is an added advantage Experience in research, writing and development of policies and procedures is an added advantage Experience in Board and corporate secretarial matters, including writing of Board papers, is an added advantage Experience in the financial and / or capital market sector is an added advantage At least 15 years of relevant working experience, of which at least 7 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role Other General Requirements Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English Good written and spoken communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia Good written and spoken communication skill in Mandarin is a plus but not essential Excellent organisational and leadership ability Effective engagement and communication skills Strong problem-solving aptitude and self-initiated Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse team Able to work independently and as part of a team, proactive and results oriented Must meticulously pay attention to detail Must be able to work in a fast-paced and highly demanding work environment Must be able to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion Qualified candidates are invited to apply online by submitting their cover letter and resume with current and expected salary and a recent passport-size photograph.
