MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :
SMT Process Development & Optimization
o Design, develop, and optimize SMT processes to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
o Implement improvements to the soldering process, component placement, and inspection techniques.
o Monitor and troubleshoot the SMT production line to minimize defects and improve yield.
Machine Setup, Calibration & Maintenance
o Set up and calibrate SMT machines, including placement machines, soldering equipment, and inspection tools.
o Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of SMT machines to ensure smooth operation.
Quality Control & Inspection
o Conduct in-process inspections using tools such as AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), X-ray, and other quality control equipment.
o Ensure compliance with industry standards for quality and reliability, such as IPC standards.
o Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Material Management
o Manage the storage, handling, and inventory of components such as resistors, capacitors, ICs, and other surface-mount components.
o Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of materials for production.
Work closely with the logistics team to manage and control the flow of materials through the production process.
Collaboration with Design & Production Teams
o Collaborate with PCB designers and engineers to ensure that PCB designs are optimized for SMT processes.
o Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth handover of designs and to address any production-related concerns.
Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting
o Identify and troubleshoot issues in the SMT production line, such as misplacement of components, solder defects, or machine malfunctions.
o Conduct root cause analysis of production failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
o Recommend process improvements and automation to enhance production efficiency.
Documentation & Reporting
o Maintain detailed records of machine settings, production data, and any modifications to processes or equipment.
o Provide regular feedback to management regarding the performance of the SMT processes.
o Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), defect rates, and other relevant metrics.
Continuous Improvement
o Stay updated on the latest SMT technology, industry trends, and process improvements.
o Participate in continuous improvement programs and initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reduce production costs.
o Identify opportunities for automation and implement new technologies to optimize the SMT process.
