Regional IT Manager – Applications, Support & Infrastructure

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is for a proactive and technically proficient Regional IT Manager who will spearhead the delivery of IT services and projects across the region. The position involves leading various critical IT functions, including application development, IT support, and infrastructure management. As the regional IT leader, this role serves as the primary liaison with global IT, ensuring that regional operations align seamlessly with the overarching global technology strategies. Simultaneously, the Regional IT Manager acts as a program leader, addressing specific local operational needs and driving their resolution. This role will also be responsible for managing the IT Operations Executive, who handles the daily maintenance and troubleshooting of IT hardware and software, deploys software updates in coordination with the US IT Operations team, and provides end-user support and training.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary IT leader for the region, championing & representing the global IT strategy locally.
- Work under a matrixed reporting structure : operationally accountable to the regional leadership, functionally aligned with global technology roadmap.
- Align local IT initiatives with ECRI standards, policies, and strategic goals.
- Coordinate communication between regional teams and global IT to ensure seamless integration and support.
- Estimate effort, perform cost-benefit analysis, and propose project concepts with clear business value for leadership approval.
- Recognize and encourage the behaviors that build trust, teamwork, and shared success.
- Manage complex, challenging group dynamics while maintaining neutrality and composure.
Application Development
Lead regional software application development & testing initiatives in accordance with global standards and architecture.Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop & deploy region specific or localized solutions.Manage local development & testing teams, including third-party vendors, ensuring code quality, secure practices, and timely delivery.Values execution and results ahead of method but is disciplined in appropriately applying formal method to execute and achieve results.Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with global cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and data protection laws applicable to the region.Participate in global audits and implement corrective actions as required.Team Management
Lead, develop, and mentor regional IT team members across all functional domains, supporting their growth and performance.Manage resource planning, training, and performance reviews in collaboration with corporate HR and IT leadership.Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer service.Develop structured handoff procedures to ensure continuous IT application & support coverageShares information, advice, and suggestions to help others within and outside own team to be more successful.Clearly communicates expectations and deadlines. Provides an appropriate level of guidance and direction to individual contributors.Additional Responsibilities :

Experience :
7+ years of experience in IT management, including regional / multisite responsibility.Strong background in application development, and general understanding of IT support, and infrastructure operations.Experience working in a global organization with matrix reporting structures.Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.Fluency in local language(s) as required by the APAC region; strong English proficiency required for coordination & collaboration with global teams.Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).Computer Skills :
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Proficient in project management and software development lifecycle (Agile / Scrum).Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).Certifications & Licenses :
