Landscape Cum Irrigation Wireman

Job Purpose

Landscape Cum Irrigation Wireman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring systems within the golf course grounds, including clubhouses, irrigation systems, and other electrical infrastructures. This role involves ensuring that all electrical systems on the golf course are functioning properly and safely to support daily operations

Job Responsibilities

1.      Installation of Electrical Systems :

o   Install wiring for lighting systems on the golf course, including pathway lights, landscape lighting, and floodlights for evening play.

o   Maintaining electrical systems for irrigation systems, ensuring efficient operation of sprinklers and watering schedules.

o   Install and maintain wiring for maintenance office etc

2.      Maintenance and Troubleshooting :

o   Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems in the clubhouse, maintenance areas, and across the golf course grounds.

o   Diagnose and repair faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits, and electrical issues in all areas of the course.

o   Address electrical issues related to golf course equipment such as automated systems such as pumps for water features etc

3.      Golf Course Infrastructure :

o   Install and maintain wiring for clubhouse landscape areas lighting.

o   Ensure that all electrical systems are fully operational.

o   Help with wiring and setup for events hosted at the golf course, including special lighting setups or temporary electrical installations.

4.      Safety and Compliance :

o   Ensure all electrical work meets safety codes and local electrical regulations.

o   Implement safety protocols when working with high-voltage equipment or in outdoor environments.

o   Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety standards while working in diverse weather conditions.

5.      Collaboration with Golf Course Maintenance Team :

o   Work closely with golf course maintenance personnel to ensure that irrigation, lighting, and other electrical systems are properly installed, functioning, and maintained.

o   Communicate effectively with management to address electrical needs or upgrades for course operations or special events.

6.      Upgrades and Renovations :

o   Assist in upgrading or adding new electrical infrastructure as the golf course expands or renovates.

o   Suggest and implement energy-efficient systems where applicable, such as LED lighting or automated systems for irrigation and lighting.

7.      Documentation and Reporting :

o   Maintain accurate records of work completed, including inspections, repairs, and electrical layouts.

o   Prepare reports on the condition of electrical systems and recommend improvements or upgrades to management.

Requirements

o    Wireman Certification or equivalent is typically required.

o    Certification or apprenticeship in electrical work or wireman-specific training (vocational programs).

Some experience in wiring installation or a similar role is preferred.
