The Assistant Manager will oversee Boost Bank’s card operations, balancing hands‑on involvement with leadership responsibilities. This role ensures operational excellence across issuance, settlement, reconciliations, disputes, fraud monitoring, and compliance, while also coaching the team and driving process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily card operations (issuance, settlement, disputes, reconciliations).
- Manage vendors, processors, and scheme partners.
- Mentor junior staff and ensure SLAs are consistently met.
- Drive process improvements and support product rollouts.
- Supervise daily card operations across issuance, settlement, reconciliations, and chargebacks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, ensuring service levels and accuracy.
- Manage vendor and scheme relationships to resolve incidents and improve processes.
- Oversee compliance with BNM, PCI DSS, and scheme regulations.
- Monitor fraud alerts and collaborate with Fraud / Risk teams to mitigate exposure.
- Lead UAT and implementation support for new card features or systems.
- Drive automation and process improvements to reduce manual workload.
- Prepare and deliver operational performance reports to management.
- Act as deputy for the Head of Card Operations when required.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business, or related.4–6 years’ experience in card operations, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory / team lead role.Deep knowledge of card processes, settlement cycles, reconciliations, and chargebacks.Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.Proven leadership ability — guiding teams, prioritizing tasks, and managing crises.Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.Seniority Level
